1  Purpose

nag_real_largest_number (X02ALC) returns the largest positive floating-point number.

2  Specification

#include <nag.h>
#include <nagx02.h>
double  nag_real_largest_number

3  Description

nag_real_largest_number (X02ALC) is a constant defined in the C Header file.
nag_real_largest_number (X02ALC) returns the largest positive number in the model of floating-point arithmetic described in the x02 Chapter Introduction. The returned value is equal to 1- b-p × bemax , where b is the arithmetic base (see nag_real_base (X02BHC)) and emax  is the maximum exponent (see nag_real_max_exponent (X02BLC)) in the model.
